WHAT IS DIRECT PAY?

No insurances are accepted;  all services must be paid by patient on day of appointment

HOW DIRECT PAY HELPS PATIENTS:

High quality of care, No insurance-imposed restrictions

We are a "direct pay" dermatology office.  We have voluntarily opted-out of participating with all private health insurance plans including Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Medicare, and Medicaid and we have no contractual agreements with private insurance providers in order to provide the best individualized dermatological care for our patients.

Direct pay (also known as cash pay) allows Dr. Signore to provide high quality patient-centered care in a respectful, unhurried environment.  Advantages of direct pay also include no insurance-imposed limitations.

Opting-out of participation with medical insurance plans lets Dr. Signore focus his full attention on his patients' individual dermatological needs.  No more cumbersome, government-mandated electronic medical record systems which force doctors to look at computer screens instead of you.  No more rushed visits mandated by insurance or government.  Your physician can get back to caring for you and prescribing what is best for you.

Opting out of insurance also helps Dr. Signore make health care decisions in partnership with his dermatology patients' needs independently of insurance guidelines and restrictions.

Our dermatology office is "self-pay friendly", "cash-pay friendly", and "uninsured patient friendly".  Dr. Signore's dermatology office has been serving self-pay, cash-pay, uninsured, and insured patients since 1992.

If you have health insurance, it is your responsibility to check with your insurance providers regarding their reimbursement policy first, prior to your initial office visit with Dr. Signore.

All office visits & surgical procedures are payable at the time of service. After you pay for your office visit, we will give you a paid receipt, superbill, and insurance form so you can send it in to your insurance provider.  We would be glad to explain how you can quickly and simply fill out your form.  Just ask us at the front desk when you are done with your first visit.
